Someone... make-me-smile...
She says
As she stands up and begs
The world for the reasons
To the why? The because, of the season's
Gloomy and sentimentally depressing melody,
Is to be known by all for all have grown to suffer this great tragedy.
Someone... make-me-smile...
She keeps on saying aloud
To no one in particular, but in hope that the sound
Would in it self create distraction
In the mind strong enough to prevent any drastic action.
Drastic actions that just depress
As they do indeed deepen the wound at the center of her chest.
Someone... make-me-smile...
So sad the sound and the sight
Of this beautiful soul as it's love loses might.
For she did hope and she now bleeds
She did give, but now she needs
Happy thoughts, oh happy thoughts
As every-things are turned to naughts.
Someone... make-me-smile...
So she goes on until she falls asleep;
Full of tears she slumbers deep.
Happy thoughts she tries keeping in mind,
But all for naught as the sun does not shine.
Today, again, a cloudy day;
A misty December hoping for a May.
In her sleep we hear her say
Someone... make-me-smile... today.
She says
As she stands up and begs
The world for the reasons
To the why? The because, of the season's
Gloomy and sentimentally depressing melody,
Is to be known by all for all have grown to suffer this great tragedy.
